Students spent Friday/Tuesday on a 6-Trait Writing assignment over dilations, a scale factor activity on the computer, and a pretest over area and perimeter.
On Wednesday/Thursday, we will start our unit on Area & Perimeter. Most students have some knowledge in this area, but that knowledge often varies among students. Based on students' results on their pretest, they will be assigned only the areas that they need to work on in terms of area and perimeter.
This unit will be short, but is an essential unit as we look toward volume and surface area next.
